About Frigid Solar
The Beginning
The idea behind Frigid Solar began years before the first design was ever drawn.
Long before January of 2021, we were asking a simple but ambitious question: Could mobile refrigeration operate reliably without depending on fuel or the grid?
That question became the foundation for everything that followed.
Early Development
In January 2021, we formally began designing a solar-powered refrigeration system built specifically for real-world use—not theory, not lab conditions, but demanding environments where reliability matters. Later that year, we built our first proof-of-concept model, validating that solar-powered refrigeration could deliver consistent, dependable performance.
By 2022, our focus shifted from concept to application. We began designing and engineering trailer-based systems, adapting the refrigeration platform to mobile environments. This phase involved extensive testing, redesign, and integration to ensure the system could withstand transport, weather, and continuous operation.
Next Steps
In the fall of 2023, we completed our first fully functional solar-powered refrigerator trailer—a major milestone that marked the transition from development to deployment.
Continued Development
Since then, Frigid Solar has continued to evolve. We’ve refined the system for greater efficiency, reliability, and ease of use. We’ve finalized our patent and trademarks, protecting the innovation and identity behind the technology. Our trailer designs have been improved and modified to better accommodate the system, optimizing airflow, weight distribution, durability, and energy performance.
Ongoing Innovation
Today, the Frigid Solar platform is intentionally scalable and expandable, designed to grow larger or smaller depending on application and need. We remain committed to staying at the forefront of trailer engineering, materials science, and solar technology, continually incorporating advancements that make our systems more efficient, more effective, and more dependable.
